Natural Rubber

Natural Rubber
Natural rubber is obtained from the viscous milk juice, latex, from a number of different tree species. The most important of these are Hevea brasiliensis. When extracting, you cut notches in the bark of the trees and collect the rubber liquid in one containers attached under the notch (often half of the shell of a coconut). Rubber taken from the rubber tree is used industrially in the manufacture of various materials.
Common products of or with rubber components are tires, rubber strips, rubber bands, hair bands, condoms (sometimes called ‘rubber’ in everyday language), toys, machine belts, erasers, spring elements, vibration dampers, hoses, gaskets, conveyor belts, boots, gas masks and much more.
As a material in the sealing elements of advanced hydraulic systems, where castor oil is used, natural rubber is superior to other materials, thanks to the high elasticity and resistance of natural rubber to castor oil.
